What Are Pre-Orders?

Pre-orders allow buyers to purchase items from your store before a live stream begins. This gives sellers an opportunity to secure sales in advance and helps buyers reserve popular items ahead of time.

For example, if you schedule a stream a week in advance, buyers can browse your store and purchase available products before you go live. Once your stream starts, these pre-orders will automatically transition to the Shipments section for processing.

How Do Pre-Orders Work?

  1. Schedule a Live Stream: Pre-orders become available once you schedule a stream in advance.

  2. Buyers Purchase Items: Customers can place orders for items listed in your store before your stream goes live.

  3. Pre-Orders Move to Shipments: When the stream begins, all pre-orders automatically move to the Shipments section of your Seller Hub.

  4. Processing Orders: After the stream ends, you can generate shipping labels and fulfill pre-orders just like regular purchases.

Key Considerations for Pre-Orders

  • Stream Completion Requirement: Sellers cannot purchase shipping labels for pre-orders until the stream has ended.

  • Order Management: Pre-orders will remain in a pending state until the stream goes live and transitions them to the Shipments section.

  • Refunds & Cancellations: If a buyer requests a cancellation before the stream starts, you can manage it through your Orders tab.

Benefits of Pre-Orders

  • Increased Sales Potential: Lock in purchases ahead of your live stream.

  • Improved Inventory Management: Get insights into demand before going live.

  • Convenience for Buyers: Customers can secure must-have items without waiting for the stream.
