The Drip platform provides distinct access permissions for Sellers and Streamers (Hosts). This document clarifies the difference in access levels and functionalities available to each role, specifically regarding the Seller Hub and app usage.
Access for Sellers
What Sellers Can Access
Sellers have the ability to sell products on the Drip platform.
They can list products, participate in streams, and engage with their audience.
However, they have limited access to the Seller Hub when using the mobile app.
Why Sellers See "Apply to Sell" or "Become a Seller"
If a Seller logs into the Drip app and navigates to the Seller Hub, they may still see the option to "Apply to Sell" or "Become a Seller" — even if they have already been approved to sell.
This is normal behavior and not a bug.
The reason is that full Seller Hub functionalities are only accessible to Streamers (Hosts) on the app.
How to Access the Seller Hub
Sellers who wish to manage products, streams, and orders must do so via a PC (desktop).
The Seller Hub on the app is designed to be fully functional only for Hosts (Streamers).
Access for Streamers (Hosts)
Full Seller Hub Access
Streamers (Hosts) have full access to the Seller Hub through both the web platform (PC) and the mobile app.
This includes the ability to:
Manage product listings
Stream live
View and process orders
Access complete Seller Hub functionalities
Why Streamers Have Full Access
Streamers are directly responsible for conducting live shows, engaging audiences, and facilitating sales.
Full Seller Hub access enables them to efficiently manage their streams, products, and customer interactions from the mobile app.
Important Notes
If you are a Seller and not a Host, you will not have access to full Seller Hub features on the app. You must use a PC to manage your store.
If you wish to become a Host, you need to apply and get approved through the Drip platform.
Once approved as a Host, full Seller Hub access will automatically be granted to you on the mobile app.
