Go Live on Mobile Drip App: Connect and Engage with Your Audience

The Mobile Drip App now offers a highly requested feature allowing you to go live directly from the app. This guide will walk you through the entire process of going live and effectively engaging with your audience.

Note: This feature is only accessible to sellers with host/stream access. If you are a seller but you do not have hosting or streaming permissions - you will not be able to access the live stream feature in app as well as other seller hub features. You can use the web browser for full seller features (applies to non hosts)

Getting Started with the Go Live Feature

You can now go live directly from the Drip app once you have host access. The feature is available on both Android and iOS versions of the Mobile Drip App.

Step 1: Accessing the Go Live Feature

  1. Open the Drip App on your mobile device.

  2. On the navigation bar, you’ll see a large + button in the center.

  3. Tap the + button to proceed.

Step 2: Selecting Your Stream

  1. Select the stream you wish to go live on.

  2. Ensure you have a stream created beforehand via the Drip Web platform, as streams cannot be created directly from the app.

Step 3: Entering Stream Settings

Once you select your stream, you will enter the Settings Tab by default. At this point, you are not live yet. To go live, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Play button in the middle of the screen.

  2. Your live status will appear at the top, confirming you are now live.

Step 4: Settings Available During Your Stream

The app provides a variety of settings you can manage during your live stream:

  • Go live/offline: Start or stop your live stream.

  • Mute/unmute audio: Control your audio output.

  • Turn on/off video: Enable or disable your video feed.

  • Switch front/back camera: Toggle between front and back cameras.

  • Enable/disable the shop: Choose to showcase products in your shop.

  • Change video quality: Adjust the quality of your video feed.

  • FAQ Management: Add, delete, edit, or rearrange the order of FAQ.

  • Simulcast Management: Add, delete, edit, or enable/disable simulcast.

  • Exit Live Stream: End your live stream.

Best Practices and Tips During Your Live Stream

Main Stream Tab

  • This is where stream interactions take place similar to the web version.

  • Engage with your audience, highlight products, and manage comments from viewers.

Managing Products

  • Swipe right to view products added to the stream.

  • From here, you can activate product promotions, edit, or delete products.

  • Use the Manage Products or Quick Add option to modify products on the go.

Monitoring the Queue

  • The Queue Tab (represented by a handbag icon) displays all active promotions and paid products.

  • Keep an eye on active sales and ensure quick delivery of promised products.

Monitoring Viewers

  • The Eye Icon at the top right represents your current live viewers.

  • Use it to monitor how many people are watching and engaging with your stream.

Ending Your Live Stream

To end your live stream:

  1. Navigate back to the Settings Tab.

  2. Click on Exit Live Stream.

  3. Confirm your action to end the stream.
