Mistakes can happen, and you might find yourself needing to refund a shipping label. Whether you’ve printed the wrong label, purchased a label with incorrect shipping details, or no longer need the label, you can request a refund directly through your Seller Hub. This guide explains how to refund a shipping label and provides tips to avoid common issues.

Important Note:
Refunds can only be requested for labels that have not been scanned by the carrier. If the package has already been shipped (i.e., scanned at the post office or while in transit), the label cannot be refunded. This process is specifically for sellers who need to correct issues such as:

  • Mistakes in package weight or dimensions.

  • Incorrect recipient address.

  • Duplicate label purchases.

  • Labels purchased for orders that were canceled or combined with others.

Why Would You Need to Refund a Shipping Label?

There are several scenarios where you might need to refund a label:

  1. Incorrect Address: You accidentally printed a label with the wrong shipping address or recipient details.

  2. Duplicate Label: You purchased multiple labels for the same order by mistake.

  3. Canceled Order: The buyer canceled their order after you purchased a label.

  4. Wrong Weight or Dimensions: The label you generated doesn’t match the package's actual weight or size.

  5. Order Combined: You combined multiple orders into one shipment and no longer need one of the labels.

  6. Shipping Delay: You’ve decided to use a different carrier or shipping method due to delays or other reasons.
