How to Make Offers on Non-Vaulted Items

In addition to vaulted items, buyers can also make offers on standard Marketplace listings that are not vaulted. These are regular “Buy Now” items that sellers have made available for offers alongside the direct checkout option. This gives buyers flexibility to negotiate pricing directly with the seller before finalizing a purchase.

When you browse the Marketplace under the Buy Now tab, most items will display the familiar Add to Cart button. However, when you click into a specific product’s page, you’ll see an additional option: Make Offer, located right next to the Add to Cart button. This is where the offer process for non-vaulted items begins.

Steps to Make an Offer on a Non-Vaulted Item

  • Go to Marketplace > Buy Now
Browse through available products that sellers have listed for immediate purchase. These are not stored in the vault, but are being sold directly by the seller.

  • Click on the Product
Selecting the product takes you to its dedicated product page. Here you’ll see details such as the price, condition, seller profile, and importantly, both Add to Cart and Make Offer options.

  • Choose “Make Offer”
By clicking the Make Offer button, you start the negotiation process. You’ll be able to propose a price different from the listed Buy Now amount, which the seller can then either accept, decline, or counter.

  • Complete the Offer Process
Just like with vaulted offers, you’ll enter the amount you wish to offer, review the terms, and submit it. The seller will then be notified of your proposal.

  • Await Seller Response
The seller can accept your offer (and the checkout will update accordingly), decline it, or make a counteroffer. If accepted, the item proceeds to checkout and normal shipping applies since the item is not vaulted.

Important Notes About Non-Vaulted Offers

  • Offers on non-vaulted items always involve physical shipment, since these items are not in Drip’s vault system. Once purchased, the seller is responsible for sending the product directly to you.

  • Unlike vaulted offers, you cannot trade items back and forth — the offer is strictly about negotiating the cash price of the listing.

  • If your offer is declined, you still have the option to purchase the item immediately at the Buy Now price.

  • If the offer expires without response, the item remains available for purchase at its listed price.

If you run into issues such as offers not appearing, errors during submission, or missing vaulted items when creating an offer, please reach out to Drip Support for help.
