If you're a buyer in Canada and waiting on a shipment from Drip, here's everything you need to know about a temporary situation that may impact delivery times for USPS packages.

📰 What’s happening?

On May 23rd, Canada Post's delivery workers began refusing to work overtime as part of a labor-related slowdown. While this is not a full strike, the reduced staffing means packages may take longer to process and deliver—especially during evenings, weekends, and peak hours.

🚚 How this affects your order

If your seller shipped your order using USPS (via Shippo), your package is still on its way. However, because USPS relies on Canada Post for final delivery in Canada, this situation may cause:

  • Delays in tracking updates

  • Longer delivery windows

  • Additional delays for shipments addressed to Canadian PO boxes, which are only serviced by Canada Post

✅ What’s still working

  • All USPS shipping services remain active on Drip.

  • There are no canceled or suspended shipments.

  • Sellers may add Insurance protection to cover delays or loss during transit.

💬 What you can do

  • Check your tracking link for the latest status (note: delays in updates are expected)

  • If your package is significantly delayed or appears stuck, contact our support team — we're here to help!

📦 Coming soon: More delivery options

We’re working behind the scenes to bring you additional shipping options like UPS. UPS operates independently of Canada Post and may offer faster service during times like this.
