In an auction, you will see the auction window pop up at the bottom of the screen. The seller will set the timer and the starting bid amount. For example, an auction can start at $4.

After each bid, you will notice that the timer extends by 5 seconds, this is called snipe protection. Sniping is essentially when someone waits until the last second of an auction to bid slightly higher than the current bid. Snipe protection prevents that and provides fairness for the community.

You can set a 'Custom Bid', if you don't want to bid the recommended amount. Just tap the 'Custom' button in the auction window.

You also have a Max Bid feature available. Here you enter the Maximum amount you want to bid, and Drip bids on your behalf. If the bid goes beyond the amount you set, then Drip stops bidding, unless you change the max bid.

Set a maximum bid amount and let Drip do the rest. Whether it's a pre-bid or live auction, you'll always stay ahead of the competition as we place automatic bids for you.

How to Set a Max Bid

Simply click the Custom Bid button for pre-bid auctions or the Bid button for live auctions and the modal for the Max Bid tab will appear.

Place a Max Bid and if another user outbids you, you'll automatically have another bid placed that meets the auction's minimum increment requirements (set by the streamer). We'll continue to automatically bid for you until we reach your max bid amount. Note: Like normal bids, all max bids are binding and final.
