Collections on Drip allow sellers to organize their products into categorized groups, making it easier for buyers to browse and shop. There are two types of collections that sellers can create: Manual Collections and Dynamic Collections.

Each collection type serves a different purpose, and choosing the right one depends on the seller's needs. This guide will explain the key differences, setup process, and best use cases for each.

What is a Manual Collection?

A Manual Collection is a fixed collection where sellers manually select and add products. This collection type is best for curated selections, limited-edition items, or promotional groups of products that will not change unless updated manually by the seller.

When to Use a Manual Collection

  • Showcasing hand-picked products or featured items.

  • Creating a limited-time sale collection with specific products.

  • Organizing a set of exclusive or high-value products.

  • Highlighting best-sellers that do not change frequently.

How to Create a Manual Collection

  1. Go to Seller Hub: Log into your Drip Seller Hub.

  2. Navigate to Collections: Click on the Collections tab.

  3. Create a New Collection:

    • Click "Create Collection".

    • Upload an image (500x500 pixels recommended) for visual representation.

    • Enter a Collection Title and a Description.

  4. Add Products Manually:

    • Select Manual Entry under "Collection Type".

    • Click "Add Products" and select the items you want to include.

  5. Save & Publish:

    • Toggle "Add to Storefront" if you want the collection to appear in your store.

    • Click "Save" to finalize the collection.

What is a Dynamic Collection?

A Dynamic Collection is an automated collection that updates itself based on predefined conditions set by the seller. This means that any product that meets the criteria will automatically be added to the collection.

When to Use a Dynamic Collection

  • Categorizing products based on price, category, or sale type.

  • Automating the organization of new arrivals or specific brands.

  • Creating collections based on grading services (e.g., PSA, BGS, CGC for trading cards).

  • Filtering products based on sealed or non-sealed status.

  • Ensuring buyers always see in-stock items that match a defined category.

How to Create a Dynamic Collection

  1. Go to Seller Hub: Log into your Drip Seller Hub.

  2. Navigate to Collections: Click on the Collections tab.

  3. Create a New Collection:

    • Click "Create Collection".

    • Upload an image (500x500 pixels recommended).

    • Enter a Collection Title and a Description.

  4. Select Dynamic Entry:

    • Under "Collection Type," select Dynamic Entry.

    • Choose whether products must match all conditions or any condition.

  5. Set Conditions:

    • Click "Add Conditions" and select criteria such as:

      • Price Range: Set a minimum and maximum price for products in the collection.

      • Sealed Status: Choose between Sealed or Not Sealed.

      • Grading Service: Filter by PSA, BGS, CGC, TAG, or None (Raw).

      • Sale Type: Include products sold via Buy Now or Auction.

      • In Show: Filter by products that are In Live Shows or Not in Live Shows.

      • Categories & Subcategories: Select relevant categories such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Sneakers, Baseball Cards, etc.

  6. Save & Publish:

    • Toggle "Add to Storefront" if you want the collection to be displayed.

    • Click "Save" to apply the automation rules.
